Welcome to our first blog post!
By the time you can read this our first collection and all of our products will be live! We really hope you enjoy and see what attention to detail has gone into every aspect of planning this launch.
When it came to choosing our first collection we wanted it to be bold and exciting for not only you but your clients too.
Statement shades and a bucket list destination to match, Thailand really did offer what we expected and more.
Now if you have been following our build up to launch posts on our Instagram page - @wandergelofficial, you will have seen that we didn't actually reveal where we were going or our shades until we arrived in Thailand... we had a lot of messages that were very excited by this and a lot that were impatient 😅.
Each shade had its own location that we chose to shoot and film (weather permitting!).
Pink with Humidity
Shot at the Instagram famous - Café View Point, Phuket. They have a very pink theme which fitted perfectly, along with lots of greenery and wicker seating areas that looked over the sea, we could of stayed there for hours admiring our pink shade and sipping on the ice cold drinks.
Land of Smiles
This was a tricky shade to shoot, we wanted to capture how stunning the gold glitter in our formula was, and needed to time the sunset just right. We chose the famous Maya bay, with its white powdery sand and stunning clear waters, it was the perfect spot and just in the nick of time before the sun set. It gave us all we needed to reveal it to you all in the right way.
Tuk Tuk All Aboard
A must have shade for us when launching our collection. Orange has always been a staple shade for summer over the years and this was no exception. With a fun shade comes a fun name, and let us tell you riding in a Tuk Tuk is fun!!.. with its loud music and chatty locals, its the fastest way to hop around. When we revealed this shade we posted a reel on our Instagram account and it was actually shot at one of the hotels we stayed in as the grounds were so beautiful and green it made an amazing contrast and really showed how vibrant Tuk Tuk All Aboard was.
Boat Ride to Phi Phi
Now if you ever Google Thailand, this is one of the first places to pop up on your screen, so it was obvious we had to name our blue shade after it! We took some footage in the Phi Phi islands waters, and in the sun, this shade just came to life.
Thai and Stop Me
This shade and name were a delight to choose, its soft and delicate shimmer is a real eye catcher in the sun and although it has a sheer appearance at first application, it is buildable and not one to underestimate. A lot of the shots for this colour were taken on Bang Tao Beach, against the water, neutral shades of the sand and rope swings. It is a stunning area of Thailand.
Palm trees & 80 degrees
This shade is a colour that is not only perfect for matching your summer wardrobe but also for making a bold statement such as " I'm going on holiday can you tell ? "😉. It has a very creamy consistency and applies like a dream, matched with gold accessories and a light linen shirt we could just see it being on the front of an iconic magazine cover.
So to summarise our first collection, it is fun, bright and exciting.
We can't wait to see what you all create with our gel polish shades, products and tools and hope you see how much love and attention has gone into each and every product all the way down to the packaging ribbon.
